Two, 2-week Options for Grades 4th-12th at different times (can enroll for both)

Please register by July 1st for the youth attendee(s) to receive a t-shirt.

The Central Lakes College Performing Arts Center is excited to offer our Spotlight Youth Camps, designed for students of all experience levels. Whether your child is brand new to theatre or already loves the stage, these camps focus on creativity, confidence, and collaboration in a fun, supportive environment.

1) Spotlight Youth Camp - Entering Grades 1st–4th

Instructor: Mary Aalgaard

• A) Week 1: August 3–7, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM*
Performance on Friday at 10:00am.

• B) Week 2: August 10–14, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM*
Performance on Friday at 10:00am.

Young performers will explore storytelling, imagination, and basic acting skills through games and creative play. All while preparing for a mini performance for family and friends on the final date, Friday, at 10:00am at Central Lakes College in The Chalberg Theatre.

*The registration form and payment on our website will only be for one week.

Please re-register and purchase a second week, if you'd like to register for both weeks.

2) Spotlight Youth Acting Camp Entering Grades 4th–12th

Instructor: Amy Borash

• Weeks 1 & 2: August 3–14, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Students will build acting techniques, develop characters, and gain confidence performing on stage.

2) Grades 4-12 (two weeks)

3) Spotlight Youth Musical Camp: Finding Nemo JR. Entering Grades 4th–12th

Instructors: Amy Borash & Mary Aalgaard


• Weeks 1 & 2: August 3–14, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (+ Friday Evening)

Dive into a full musical theatre experience! Attendees will rehearse selections from Finding Nemo JR. while preparing for a live performance. Throughout the camp, students will learn music, choreography, and stage performance skills, all leading up to two stage performances on the afternoon and evening of Friday, August 14th at the Central Lakes College Chalberg Theatre.
