Silent Sky
by Lauren Gunderson
A Brainerd Community Theatre production
The true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them. Social progress, like scientific progress, can be hard to see when one is trapped among earthly complications; Henrietta Leavitt and her female peers believe in both, and their dedication changed the way we understand both the heavens and Earth.

As a non-profit performing arts organization, we welcome you as an actor in our plays, a member of our production crews, an audience member at our events, and as an enthusiast who spreads the word to others about our work! We are directed by an independent board of advisors. This volunteer advisory board provides guidance as to the strategic operational aspects of the CLCPAC; making sure the organizational goals and mission are followed. Their support is invaluable and greatly appreciated.
